CCBC Academic Advisement welcomes you, and encourages all students to make appointments with academic advisors during non-registration periods.
Securing an appointment with an academic advisor prior to registration periods is a positive step that students can make to take charge of achieving their educational goals. In an appointment setting, advisors and students work together to accomplish:
- Completion of an educational plan to graduation
- Researching in-depth information about majors and programs
- Preparation for entry into selective admissions programs
- Preparation for transfer to 4 year colleges and universities
- Building strategies for academic success, including time management, study skills, problem resolution and understanding of college support services
Students with brief questions or concerns may be served on a walk-in basis. Appointments are designed to provide in-depth assistance with topics that will require longer conversations with an advisor, such as the categories described above.
Students with financial aid questions should first contact the Financial Aid office on any CCBC campus.
